The Spinning Donut Program

January 20, 2008 By Bill 1 Comment

I created this small program in VB.NET 2008 to further explain what The Spinning Donut is. If you run Microsoft Vista, you can download the program here (TSDSetup.msi) and have fun watching TheSpinningDonut.

It only displays the rotating wait circle in Vista. Plus, you have to have the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed. Both installs will ask you if you want to install the Framework if you don’t have it. The Framework takes a few minutes to install. So if you don’t have Vista then watch this video showing The Spinning Donut.

If you don’t see the YouTube embedded video the link is here.

Very much appreciated. Very informative. Now I have a new word to add in my technology vocabulary for that matter. 🙂 Actually I was quite perplexed at first but in the later part was entertained and had fun watching it over and over it again. Thanks for posting this. 🙂
