It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Google+, I don’t see if becoming more popular than the Facebook Like button but lots of people think otherwise.

Kidizoom Twist » Thanks for stoppin’ by Jake. It will be interesting to watch. G+ is turning out to be a great resource. I think right now the +1 button is nowhere near as popular as the facebook like button right now and it’s hard to imagine it ever being better, but we’ll see.

I’ve read a lot about Google+ but have still not tried to experiment with it. Google+ have a very tough challenge if it is to compete with Top networking sites which are already famous. Google + has also started drawing users so its beginning to sound very interesting.

Google+ got lots of coverage when launched, but the “newness” of this social network seems to have dropped off. True, it’s only in Beta, but one has to wonder if they can really make any inroads into Facebook’s dominance!

I like what G+ does and how it works, but I’m not seeing the buy-in that many have hoped for.

Thanks for the google+ guide. I have just started using it and to be honest have found it rather complicated. I am sure its a great tool and many of my twitter friends have started using it- but I find the interface quite hard to get around and I wonder if a revamp will be on the cards as most social media sites need to be easy to access.

Good man – cheers for doing this. I’ll have a read as I really don’t have a clue what I’m doing with Google+ as yet.
I’m on too many social networking sites already, but can see some value in Google+. Hopefully your pdf will give me what I need!

Blogging Tips » Yes, I think it’s going to take a lot to move Google+ ahead of facebook. My mom is on facebook, I don’t think she’ll be able to figure out Google+. It’s a different beast but has it’s place. We’ll see what happens. Thanks for stoppin’ by Barry.

Alex » Hi Alex, there’s quite a few social media sites out there and it makes my head spin. I think there’s a place for a lot of them – facebook, twitter, google+. I can’t imagine SOME people leaving facebook as it seems to revolve around close friends and family. Non-techies seem to be quite comfortable at facebook, even with all the changes. People might moan about the changes but they seem to stay.

@Bill I agree with you. However, in my opinion, Google+ answers the need for privacy, given that Facebook ignores that. It seems to me like a good reason to leave Facebook. How do you feel about it?

As someone who signed up for Googleplus about a week ago, I wish I would have found this guide sooner! Still, given its greater privacy concerns, it strikes me that Gplus may stand a decent chance of supplanting Facebook, or at least being a formidable competitor.

Maybe I should check out if this guide will help me understand google plus concepts. Thanks for sharing the free pdf.

I’m glad there is someone who mightily created a quick guide to G+..

A lot doesn’t know about it, and for others, they find it not easy to use that’s why they never tried to sign-up.

Circles was the coolest feature I’ve ever experience in G+.

Hmm, in honesty I still think that the jury is out the Google+ system. I know that Google have the push and power to really put everything into it but it just doesn’t seem to have the interactive visibility of say, the facebook like button. I won’t judge it just yet (and I’ve started using it myself!) but I think that there will have to be a serious ‘cultural shift’ for it to become more than a low level fad. I think most people will say, “Google+ ? Nah, don’t need that. Got Facebook Like, Stumble etc.” So at best it will just become one more amongst so many. However, I haven’t read your ebook yet – so I’ll do that and see if subsequent experience changes my mind!

I honestly think that Google Plus plans to be as beg as Facebook will never come to existence. I herd it has lots of publicity when they launch but the buzz has died down. I think their ‘create a profile only by invitation’ was a hook in the first place.

Is Google + going to replace the Facebook fan page, or is it going to be just another social media tool to go for like Twitter, LinkedIn, and so on ?
After a while, people will spend more time socializing than actually work on their business. Where’s the balance ?

Google+ is really starting to take off. They’ve added a “What’s Hot” filter and you can create pages now for branding purposes.

It’s a bit overwhelming, all these social media sites – facebook, twitter, google+, etc.

But it’s keeps things fresh and fun.
